A Bacteriological Study of Sanitary Office in College Campus


Abstract
The results obtained from bacteriological examination of 25 different samples which were available in 10 dining rooms, 6 dining rooms in dormitory, 5 tea rooms and 4 barber¢¥s shops in premises in the campus, are as follows: 1. Through the bacteriological examination of drinking water samples taken at 4 dining rooms out of total 10 in premises and one sample taken out of 6 dining rooms in dormitory, it was found that the coliform was over its border line. 2. Through the bacteriological. examination of dish towels taken at 4 dining rooms out of total 9 in premises and one sample taken out of 6 dining rooms in dormitory, it was found that the coliform was over its border line. 3. Through the bacteriological examination of washing water samples taken at 3 dining rooms out of total 9 in premises, one sample taken out of 5 dining rooms in dormitory and 3 samples taken out of 5 tea rooms it was found that the coliform was over its border line. 4. Through the bacteriological examination of hot towel samples taken at 4 barber¢¥s shops out of total 4 in premises, the coliform were found and 2 samples taken out of 4 barber¢¥s shops, the B. coli were found. 5. Highly contaminated environs by air borne microbes were found in one dormitory.
